The experimental division of Hayward Imagination Company

Where ideascome to life.

Hayward Labs is where the company's ideas get built. From a PLC on a plant floor to an app on your phone, if it runs on software, it starts here.

What this is

Hayward Imagination dreams it up. Hayward Labs makes it real. When an idea comes in, or a new app shows up with our name on it, this is the branch that built it. We write the ladder logic, the firmware, the server, and the app, and we care just as much about the pixel you tap as the wire it came from.

Full range

From the bus to the glass.

Most studios pick a layer. Labs works the whole stack, so the thing you hold and the thing that moves are designed by the same head.

These are working simulators, built for this site. A conveyor run by real ladder logic, and a CAN bus you can put your own frames on.

How it works

Idea in. Product out.

  1. 01

    Send the idea

A sentence on a napkin or a finished Figma file. Both are welcome, and more detail gets a better answer.

  2. 02

    Free analysis

We read it, poke holes in it, and tell you plainly what it would take to build. No charge for that part.

  3. 03

    Prototype

A working thing you can tap, click, or wire up. It's the fastest way to learn if the idea holds.

  4. 04

    Build

Real code, tested on real hardware, held to a written quality standard that we publish.

  5. 05

    Ship and stay

The App Store, the web, or the plant floor. Then we keep it running and keep making it better.

  6. Your move

    Got something nobody's built yet?

    Send it to the lab

The team

So who's in the lab?

A site like this usually takes a studio. Here's the org chart.

Every pixel, shader, simulator, and server here was designed and built by one person, Brandon Hayward. No agency. No contractors. That's what Labs is for.

What should we build next?

Apps, controllers, tools, or something without a name yet. The analysis is free.
